Two workshops with Komala & Stefan during the fantastic & relaxed Summerdaze from August 18th until 25th
In both workshops Komala & Stefan pick a specific theme and investigate the basic mechanisms behind that specific movement to enable every dancer to get a glance “behind the scenes” and make the movement his own by understanding the principles.
Three workshops during the International Week 2019 in El Corte:
– Embrace Tango Embrace
– Early Firpo
– The hidden force
Stefan & Komala: Pauses & rhythm – dancing the contrast in the music.
All the big orchestras in the fourties of the last century had so much success because they reinvented the sheet music they played every night by arranging it differently and also using a different phrasing to give the music another colour. That made it very exciting to listen and dance to!
In this Short Course we want to provide more insight into the underlying movement ideas of our lessons. By repeating, combining and varying elements we work on understanding and feeling for the dance. In each group we work at their own level.
Stefan & Komala: A weekend of workshops at Tango Cheshire. Technique, Tango, Milonga & Vals.
Milonga is the Mother of Tango they say. Simple, down to earth, monotonous, some even find it boring. I myself find it rather a walk on the beach on a drizzly autumn afternoon. Such a joy walking on your own! Come along and enjoy with us 🙂
These workshops are built around one specific subject which will be treated in depth. The participants get an insight into the basic structure of the subject and have the time to explore the possibilities how to play with it. The workshops are organized in different places in The Netherlands.
We want you to listen differently to music and dance differently to every piece of music. To get there we step into the kitchen of Tango and use parallels with the process of cooking to unveil how you can spice up your dance.
The volcanic island in the north of Sicily offers a beautiful nature, spectacular mountain landscapes and black beaches that invite you to bathe in the clear sea. The Berlin Connection offers a six-night stay including a half-board in double or multi-bed rooms, 12 hours of Tango lesson, milongas, excursions to the volcano and lots of dolce vita. In addition, there is enough time for personal activities and on request privates.
Regular weekly Tango classes in Scala, Eindhoven, with Stefan & Marian during the winter & spring season 2019. For all levels.
