The Ocho Cortado – tradition and innovation

The Ocho Cortado – a well-known and often used movement that is part of the dance repertoire for many of us. Used so often that it has grown into a kind of automatism.

By highlighting and expanding the underlying principles of this movement in this three-hour seminar, we aim to break open these automatisms and create new possibilities that we can add to our repertoire. You’ll be amazed at what you can do with this simple move you’ve used so many times!

We start with different variations of the Ocho Cortado and then embark on an increasingly complex search for applications in usual and certainly also unusual moments that open the door to new and surprising elements in your dance.
